Quick Review: Haglöfs Barrier Lite Jacket
Founded already in 1914, in Dalarna, Sweden, by Wiktor Haglöf, Haglöfs is one of the more renowned high-end outdoors brands from Sweden. Aimed at civilian use, manufacturing backpacks, gear and clothing, they have also manufactured several quite reliable backpacks for the Swedish military that are still popular among outdoors people who like dependable vintage military gear, like the Haglöfs made LK-35, LK-50 and LK-70 packs.
Here we test their Barrier Lite jacket, a jacket that can be worn on its own, or as insulation underneath an outer layer.
Haglöfs lists the following features for the jacket:
- Pertex® Classic Eco – Incorporates mini ripstop weave fabric allowing the jacket to remain resistant to wear and tear.
- QuadFusion™ – Hollow fibres stores heat.
- Wind Resistant Shell Fabric – Tear and wind-resistant whilst persisting to be lightweight.
- DWR Treated – Allows the jacket to be thoroughly water resistant.
- Hand-warmer Pockets.
Good and simple insulation that you can roll up into its sleave to a package smaller than the size of a honeydew melon, and easy to carry with its mere 410gr.
